  • You may not share, resell, distribute, or reproduce any materials without our written permission.

  • Access to digital content may be time-limited or subject to change at our discretion.

3. Coaching Services

  • Coaching sessions are not therapy or medical treatment. They are designed to support personal growth, self-awareness, and well-being.

  • You are responsible for your own decisions and actions resulting from coaching.

  • If you are experiencing severe mental health difficulties, we recommend also seeking appropriate medical or therapeutic support.

4. Payments & Refunds

  • All prices are shown in GBP (£) unless otherwise stated.

  • Payments are processed securely via third-party providers (e.g. Stripe, PayPal, Squarespace).

  • Digital products (courses, workshops, downloads): non-refundable once accessed or downloaded.

  • Coaching services: cancellations or rescheduling require at least 24 hours’ notice. Missed sessions without notice may be charged in full.

  • Refunds are only offered in line with UK consumer law.

5. Intellectual Property

  • All course materials, website content, branding, and resources are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

  • You may not copy, distribute, or exploit any content without written permission.

6. Limitation of Liability

  • We provide courses, workshops, and coaching for educational and self-development purposes only.

  • We do not guarantee specific outcomes. Results may vary depending on individual effort and circumstances.

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website, courses, or services.

9. Collaborative Publishing Projects

From time to time, What Life Throws at You may offer collaborative publishing programmes or contributor-based book projects.

Participation in such projects is subject to:

  • A separate Contributor Agreement

  • Defined payment terms

  • Intellectual property licence terms

  • Royalty structure as outlined at the time of enrolment

Participation is by application and acceptance only.

10. Royalty & Charity Structure

Where a collaborative book project states that royalties will be donated:

  • Amazon royalties are paid to the publishing entity first.

  • Royalties may be reduced by direct production or marketing costs before donation (if applicable and stated).

  • Donations are made to registered charities aligned with the book theme.

  • The programme participation fee is not a charitable donation and is non-refundable except as outlined below.

11. No Earnings or Visibility Guarantees

Participation in publishing projects does not guarantee:

  • Bestseller status

  • Media exposure

  • Podcast features

  • Speaking engagements

  • Financial return

All marketing efforts are undertaken with due care, but outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

12. Refunds – Collaborative Programmes

Because collaborative publishing programmes involve limited places, scheduled group participation and active editorial work:

  • A 14-day cooling-off period applies unless the participant has expressly requested early commencement of services.

  • Once the programme has begun, payments are non-refundable.

  • Payment plans remain payable once the programme has started.

  • If the Publisher cancels a project prior to commencement, a full refund will be issued.

13. Limitation of Liability – Publishing Projects

Participants acknowledge that sharing personal experiences in a published format may have emotional, reputational or relational consequences.

What Life Throws at You is not responsible for:

  • Public reaction to published content

  • Emotional responses arising from participation

  • Consequences of voluntarily sharing personal experiences

14. Changes to Terms

  • We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Updates will take effect upon posting on this page.

  • Continued use of our website or services after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
